City of Pontiac
Mayor elected citywide, plus a City Council of seven members — one from each of six single-member districts and one at-large seat — under the 2024 Home Rule Charter.

Districts & boundaries
Council district lines were redrawn by Ordinance #2459 after the 2024 charter took effect. The city publishes a district map and keeps its 21 voting precincts described in the city code.
Council terms are staggered, so not every district seat appears in the same year. The city's official notice of election lists exactly which seats are on the next ballot.

Districts & boundaries
No council wards. Auburn Hills is split between state legislative districts and between four school districts (Pontiac, Avondale, Rochester, Lake Orion), so neighbors can get very different ballots.
Auburn Hills city offices are not on every ballot. Check the clerk's posted notice of election for the current cycle.

Township offices are at-large, so there are no township districts. Waterford is split among several school districts, including a portion in the Pontiac district.

Oakland County Board of Commissioners
Twenty-five single-member districts under the map adopted for 2023–2032. Commissioners serve two-year terms, so a commissioner seat appears on the general election ballot every even year.

If you live in one of these communities and are inside the Pontiac school district, the Pontiac school board race is on your ballot — but you vote at your own jurisdiction's precinct, not a Pontiac one.
